Our Faith, Hope, and Sharing Program this past Fall reminded us that we need to be thankful for the blessings we enjoy within our parish communities at Resurrection and Assumption. Your continued support and generosity allow so many ministries to continue and flourish. Thank you! This week’s Spotlight is on the wonderful folks who Art & Environment Ministries.
Pictured (from left to right) are Donna Kohlmeier, Michele Goodrich, Eileen Carlsen (chairperson), and Mary Jude Ostrander. These tireless volunteers (and others as well) are part of the
Art and Environment Ministry at Assumption. They work so hard to make our church, and our grounds at Assumption, so beautiful. Whether it’s Lent, Easter, Christmas, or just Ordinary Time, there are always flowers to be arranged, banners to be hung, candles to be placed, and assorted items (like religious objects) that need care. Under the watchful eye of Eileen, the flowers and shrubs and plants blossom so beautifully because of her diligence (and that of her faithful band of planters and weeders). Our weekend liturgies are always enhanced because of the care and concern of the Art and Environment volunteers who carefully plan where and how things flow within the sacred space of the church. Not pictured here are so many other volunteers at Assumption who help Eileen and her committee.
We also thank those at Resurrection who make that wonderful "little church in the woods" so beautiful, including thank Kathy O’Shaughnessy, Shelly and Ken Jensen, Sharon Daniel, Joyce Lyle, Mary Ellen and Richard Reese, and others!
The next time you see something beautiful in either church, say a prayer of thanks for the Art and Environment volunteers at both Assumption and Resurrection.
